Configuring MIDI devices and MIDI IN OUT

The first time you start SONAR, the computer checks to find all devices MIDI input and output have been installed (such as sound cards and MIDI interfaces). However, sometimes you need to tell exactly SONAR devices to use. If your sound card or MIDI keyboard does not emit any sound, or simply want to change and output MIDI devices you are using, follow the steps in the next section.

Choose Options-MIDI Devices to open the dialog box in which the selection of input and output devices that SONAR midi used. Each list item is an incoming or outgoing MIDI drivers installed using the Windows Control Panel.

At the top of the program are the various menus with all the functions and beneath them are a series of buttons for quick access to these functions and some boxes to certain values such as the Tempo, the current position of reproduction The beginning and end of the loop (repetition) and the transport bar (back button, Playback, Forward and Record).

All controls current tracks, plus some that are only available in the console window (toolbar), are in the track inspector / bus, which is an expanded version of the present controls the tracks at the left edge of the window track.

The Console window

From the Console window you can mix sounds in different tracks to create the final mix of the project. Since most of the window controls are the same track, you may want to use the interfaces of popular console window when making mixes. From the Console window you can adjust the sound levels of the different tracks on the project, make changes and implement stereo panning of all effects in real time you want.

the window shows the piano roll of notes from a MIDI track or more tracks as they would appear in a player piano beat. You can move the notes, making them longer or shorter or changing the pitch simply by dragging the mouse.

You can also use the beat of piano to view and edit the speed controllers and other MIDI information. The window also contains a piano roll of the drum editor, which allows you to "paint" patterns of percussion using the standard brush and interpret different percussion modules from a single track.

 

WINDOW Pentagram
The window shows the staff notes from a MIDI track or more tracks using standard music notation, similar to the notation that appear on a printed page. You can add, edit or delete notes, create drum parts and guitar chords and add other brands of notation, guitar display tables, display the pitch panel, and print individual parts or entire scores to share with other musicians.
